Weekly Diary: March 28 - April 3, 2025

Weekly Diary contains what I did and how I felt during the past week. Weekly Diary will be published on my blog every Friday, For special reasons, the weekly diary will be delayed by a day or two. Let’s read my new weekly diary of March 28 - April 3, 2025!  This diary took place in Naples, Florida which is my Florida residence.

Friday, March 28 - I stayed home all day. My mom got home from Cincinnati around 10:30am. I ordered a large thin pizza from Pizza Hut via delivery for me and my parents so we ate it for lunch. I continued researching and working through my iPad. I watched Ariana Grande's Brighter Days Ahead musical short film- it highlights the memories of family, music, fantasy, and sympathy - it made me cry emotionally. What a beautiful musical short film. I updated my friend's itinerary for next weekend. I organized my clothes a little bit with assistance. I got salmon sushi via DoorDash for dinner- yummy 😋  I talked to my caregiver, Amanda about what I did during the past week. We discussed Snow White movie review and judgement. I saw Snow White IMDb Ratings - the negativity of the movie made me laugh out loud 🤣  I feel like I might not want to watch it again. I watched my favorite movie, Out of My Mind with Amanda. This was her first time watching the movie.

Saturday, March 29 - I ate a blueberry bagel for breakfast. I watched Out of My Mind's Phoebe-Rae Taylor live video on Instagram in the morning. I sent a compliment comment to her. She admired the comment without replying to it. I organized apps on my iPad. I ate salami rollups (my mom brought them from Cincinnati) and a banana for lunch. I made a dinner reservation for Turtle Club for Memorial Day Weekend so I will be having an outdoor dinner with my parents and caregiver there. (Turtle Club is one of the most popular restaurants in Naples. It's a a beach waterfront restaurant that serves gourmet meals and features outdoor seating. I have been there once.)  I went to Iguana Mia Bonita Springs for dinner- I had a rum runner cocktail, bacon and blue cheese guacamole, and cheesesteak chimichanga. The food and cocktail were really good. The restaurant was very busy but nice.  I told my mom that I am going to skip breakfast and eat something like her tomorrow lol 😂  I helped my mom order a new dress from Macy's. (I am her online shopper so I can order whatever she needs. She is in her late 60s. She only knows how she does things on her own iPhone and iPad but she has no knowledge of advanced technology)

Sunday, March 30 - I slept in until 10am. I ate a leftover cheesesteak chimichanga at 11am. Therefore, I skipped breakfast and ate something like my mom who generally eats 2 meals a day a couple of times per week. My mom's friends came over and caught up with my parents. I went to Outback for dinner- I ate a side house salad and Alice Springs Chicken with a side of broccoli and cheese. I drank a blackberry lavender lemonade. I sent a quick update to my caregiving friends in Cincinnati regarding my return to Cincinnati via text. I was in shock to learn that two of my caregiving friends are expecting a baby and their due dates are a month and a half apart this year. THE NEWS BLEW ME AWAY!! 😳😁🥹 I read 4th Sunday of Lent readings. I also read the article about a 7-year old girl who is battling a rare neurological disorder that leaves her unable to walk, speak, or even breathe without assistance and her medical bills are paid by a tech billionaire Elon Musk. Her story brought tears to my eyes. 🥹

Monday, March 31 - Last Day of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month. I posted my blog post about how I navigated my school years with cerebral palsy on my Facebook page and Instagram story. CP Awareness is endless so I will continue educating others about CP and Disability Inclusion to raise awareness all year round not just a month.  I checked Princess Cruises online for my upcoming Alaskan cruise vacation and made sure everything was done. I was on live chat with them requesting a shower chair for my stateroom. They confirmed the request. It was a very good experience live chatting with the cruise representative. Live chat with travel agents like the cruise representative is an important thing I communicate with them in order to ensure my accessibility needs are met. It's also helpful for those who cannot speak seeking a request for travel. I went grocery shopping for this week's dinners. I ate a meatloaf with mashed potatoes and peas for dinner. (I wanted a turkey meatloaf dinner from Whole Foods today but my caregiver took me to the wrong grocery store - I was somewhat disappointed. It was a small mistake. lol. But everything was fine. My mom bought me a delicious meatloaf for dinner today. Unfortunately, I didn't get a turkey meatloaf. ) I watched Payton"s Lemonade Stand Tamron Hall Show segment via Instagram. (Payton's Lemonade Stand is a Cincinnati based charity started in 2018. Their mission is to sweeten the lives of children going through medical, personal, and economic hardships. They serve lemonades in order to raise awareness about the kids' hardships.) I watched a new episode of Grey's Anatomy on Hulu. I watched The Handmaid's Tale final season trailer- it looked really interesting and epic. The series chronicles a resilient, brave, and tough woman's journey to escape from her captivity as a handmaid. I watched all 5 past seasons and loved it- great epic drama series. I highly recommend it. I am looking forward to watch the final season.

Tuesday, April 1 - My dad canceled my upcoming Alaskan cruise because of a financial hardship. My mom told me that she was going to take me to my hair appointment so my caregiver left for Vermont today. She cried. I was told that my hair needs to be cut 3 inches. APRIL FOOLS!!!!! These things were not happened!!

I used my computer to work on my websites in the morning. I went to a hair salon to get my haircut. I loved my haircut. I ate a salmon, sweet potato, and small pesto pasta salad for dinner at home. When I went to the bathroom, I learned that there was a tiny white scrap on my ass - OMG!! Eww, that's disgusting. lol I worked on my new blog post.

Me at the hair salon with the hairstylist who gave me a haircut.

My new haircut- I loved it

Wednesday, April 2 - I filled out my Cincinnati PT application form online. I went to Coastland Center mall with my caregiver, Danielle. At the mall, Danielle bought something on her own at Bath and Body Works and JCPenney. We bought Hallmark cards for my mom. We went to Haagan-Dazs Ice Cream Shop so we got smoothies. I got a tropical raspberry smoothie. When I was drinking a smoothie, I noticed that the smoothie was partially solid so I stirred it in order to make it smoother a couple of times. I used 3 straws between stirring intervals. Lol  😂 When we got back from the mall, I sent two questions to Princess Cruises via live chat regarding my upcoming Alaskan cruise vacation. My dad advised me to do that. They answered the questions I sent. It led me to gain some knowledge as being an accessible travel expert. I ate a side Caesar salad and spaghetti squash Parmesan for dinner at home. I video called my bestie Laura who is from Colombia and lives in West Palm Beach. During our video call, we had a great conversation. I learned that she is in the process of getting her work permit renewal. Hopefully, it will be soon because her work permit expires on April 23rd. Yikes! I will most likely celebrate her birthday virtually this May.

Thursday, April 3 - I woke up to pee at 6am - I hate waking up early to pee. I got dressed with assistance after pee. I slept in the recliner for about 2 hours until 8am. I ate oatmeal for breakfast. I had a virtual meeting with Metzcor and the county so we discussed potential job opportunities and my state individual service plan. The meeting went well. Metzcor is working on finding the best fit for me. Cleaners were here to clean the house. I ate a leftover spaghetti squash from last night for dinner in the lanai room. I had PT at home and it was great. I watched a video of Metzcor's art and design space on Facebook and Instagram - it addresses how people will be able to create their own products and run their own Etsy shops in the space - I can't wait to work there when I get back to Cincinnati. I had a bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato waffle fries and macaroni salad for dinner. I applied for a great modeling opportunity for an adaptive fashion brand based in Cincinnati, Ohio. - I saw the opportunity on Instagram and LinkedIn. They said no modeling experience needed. I used to model for my two own fashion shows. I would be interested in modeling for the adaptive fashion brand because I would love to be recognized as a changemaker in inclusive design and break down barriers in the fashion industry. Looks like I will find out whether or not I would be able to model. Shhh, I can't tell you what it is called but I will keep you updated as soon as I know. Stay tuned.

I watched a new episode of Good American Family.

I started watching the third season of Love on the Spectrum on Netflix- the reality show follows the stories of autistic people who navigate the confusing world of relationships and dating. April is Autism Acceptance Month - the month celebrates the experiences and identities of autistic individuals. . I am fully aware of autism but I am not autistic. Autism is not a disability but a different ability. It is all about different communication abilities and social interactions and repetitive behaviors. People with autism may also experience sensory issues like noise sensitivity. Even though I am not autistic but I am neurotypical, I have developed many unique skills and abilities that are unlike any others. These are my exceptional gifts from my brain. I kind of support autistic people- they are unique and they have different abilities.

I started watching a new medical drama series called Pulse on Netflix. The series chronicles a young talented doctor who must fight to save her friendships, her career, and her future after a serious allegation rocks Miami Hospital. The series also features the sister of the main character who is also a doctor and uses a wheelchair. Looks like the series shines by authentic disability representation which resonates with me deeply as a lifelong advocate for disability rights. I feel overjoyed about the series. I think I am looking forward to watching the rest of the season.

Pulse is a new medical drama series that features authentic disability representation. It's now available exclusively on Netflix. It's very good for fans of medical drama and disability advocacy to watch the series.

It was a crazy and busy long day because I had to do a lot of expected things!

The past week has been wonderful for me. It was filled with excitement, relaxation, fun, joy, laughter, positivity, wellbeing, and entertainment. I am grateful for what I did during the past week. 😁🥰

Thank you for reading my weekly diary. I hope you enjoy reading it. Let me know how you react to my weekly diary in comments below. I will post my new weekly diary next week.
