Weekly Diary: March 21 - 27, 2025
Weekly Diary contains what I did and how I felt during the past week. Weekly Diary will be published on my blog every Friday, For special reasons, the weekly diary will be delayed by a day or two. Let’s read my new weekly diary of March 21 - 27, 2025! This diary took place in Naples, Florida which is my Florida residence.
Friday, March 21 - The weather was a little warm and mild but it was nice. I wore a green sweatshirt and black workout leggings. I ate Pillsbury's banana bread for breakfast for the first time- it tasted delicious. I quickly made it with assistance yesterday. Crushed walnuts are optional to be added into the bread. That's a pre-made batter and a quick preparation. I thought it's much better than Wawa banana bread but I still like both brands. I ate a leftover lemon asparagus linguine for lunch. I watched a new episode of Good American Family. I went to Mel's Diner so I had a crab cake dinner with baked sweet potato and steamed broccoli and cheese- yummy. After dinner, I enjoyed watching a movie at home - Sonic 3. It was an enjoyable and relaxing day for me as I maintained a positive mindset. I felt like I was being mindful and positive all day.
Saturday, March 22 - I posted a high knee exercise on my social media. I met my dad's boss who is an avid fan of me. She praised my career aspirations. On my way to Bravo @ Mercato, I stooped at the horse monument for a quick photo shoot. I was wearing a gorgeous green outfit in honor of CP Awareness Month. I ate a delicious dinner at Bravo - Chicken Scaloppine. Someone paid for my dinner. Shortly after dinner, I saw a guy with Down Syndrome playing a guitar with the musician outside of the restaurant- what a great moment! I headed out to see Disney's Snow White live action @ Paragon Theaters. It was not a terrible movie but it was a satisfying movie. I praised Rachel Ziegler's performance and singing voice in the movie. She is talented. I rated the movie 7/10! I think the original one is better than live action but live action is not just a bad movie despite being the most controversial movie. When I got home, I worked on my CP Awareness Day video project.

Sunday, March 23 -I stayed home all day. I worked on my CP Awareness Day video project. I watched Wicked on Peacock TV while sitting in the recliner chair. This was my second time watching the movie after seeing it in theaters and it is one of my favorites. I got a delicious dinner from Fernandez Cuban Restaurant via DoorDash-Palomilla Steak with black beans and sweet plantains. I ordered Kiko lip glosses from Ulta with gift cards ( I used the lip gloss my caregiver has - I thought it made my lips look shiny and cheap. I love it) I saw on Instagram that Cerebral Palsy Foundation featured me in their post about what CP awareness means to you. I sent a thank you message to them- it made my heart so full of gratitude, joy, and love. I posted my introductory post in CP support group on Facebook. I had a great day with joy and appreciation and support. I read 3rd Sunday of Lent readings. I started chatting with a few people with cerebral palsy from the support group on Facebook - I felt like I would connect and build a rapport with them.
Monday, March 24 - I completed my CP Awareness Day video project. The video is set to be posted on Tuesday, March 25th which marks National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day. I shared my Facebook/Instagram story reminding my followers to wear green in honor of the special day. I went to Wynn's Market so I bought something delicious for dinner this week. I ate a side spinach salad and chicken pot pie from Wynn's for dinner. I enjoyed overseeing insights and comments on my introductory post in CP support group via Facebook - it received almost 150 reactions in a day! Oh wow, I can't believe about the post engagement. I feel like it'd be a great beginning to improve my content growth. It led me to continue sharing my content and connecting with others in order to gain more followers via my social media and my blog. Therefore, I discovered my purpose in educating and inspiring people especially those with cerebral palsy to lead their fulfilling and successful lives.
Tuesday, March 25 - National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day! 💚✨ My CP awareness day video was posted today Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Follow me @marisaconnersofficial to see the video. I felt positively overwhelmed and touched by people who viewed the video. I also discovered that Cerebral Palsy Foundation shared the video with its followers and included me in its reel. They made my day so special and proud! 🥹
I also had a relaxing spa day with waxing, manicure, and pedicure. I got a special dinner at Off The Rock Tavern - Short Rib Ravioli- yummy 😋 I watched "American Experience: Change, Not Charity: The Americans With Disabilities Act" on PBS via my iPad. It's an hour-long documentary that highlights how ADA was made and features footage of how Americans with disabilities have fought for access and inclusion. The new documentary resonates with me deeply- I have always been fighting for my rights and disability rights for a long time. I feel so grateful to have acknowledged ADA and disability rights.

Wednesday, March 26 - I spent the afternoon at the beach with my caregiver, Danielle and her mom. Before going to the beach, we spent about 30 minutes searching for an empty parking spot as we noticed that the parking spots for the beach were packed so many spring breakers were packed. We finally parked! At the beach, we saw massive crowds were gathered. How insanely crazy and overwhelming! That means "Beach Bum". When I got back from the beach, I ate a delicious dinner- teriyaki salmon with white rice and grilled pineapple and cottage cheese. I watched a new episode of Good American Family on Hulu. I watched deleted scenes of Wicked.

Thursday, March 27 - I stayed home and working on my iPad all day. I had a great PT workout in the morning. I watched Cincinnati Reds Opening Day game on my iPad. My mom attended the game and that was her 54th Opening Day game. She visited my hometown from Florida for the game. She can't miss one of her beloved traditions- attending the Opening Day game every year! Unfortunately, Reds lost against Giants 6-3! I ate Wynn's stuffed shells with turkey meatball and tomato mozzarella salad for dinner- delicious.
